Jack Williams

Caddy Scholarship Award – Jack Williams
A caddy at Somerset Hills Country Club since 2007, Jack is a graduate of Seton Hall Prep and has recently transferred to Mount, St. Mary’s University in Maryland. Jack is involved in several stu-dent-run campus publications and participates in a wide range of extracurricular activites and in-tramural sports including, football, volleyball and the Philosophy Club. Along with post graduate studies, Jack hopes to pursue a career in education.

Mary Finnegan

General Scholarship Award - Mary Finnegan
The 2011 valedictorian of Warren Hills High School, Mary just completed her sophomore year at Villanova University with a double major in history and Spanish. A dean’s List student, Mary par-ticipated in mock trial and is a member of RUIBAL, a service organization that helps the inner-city students of Philadelphia. She continues to connect with other through her service work at Vil-lanova.

Seton Hall Prep Scholarship Melody Wu

General Scholarship Award – Melody Wu
The 2010 valedictorian of Hanover Park High School, Melody completed her third year at Harvard University where she is majoring in East Asian Studies, focusing on international relations as a con-centration and global health and public policy as a secondary. She is still an active member of the Taiwanese Cultural Society and is dancing on a regular basis.

Scholarship Recipient Mikal Taveras

Seton Hall Prep Award – Mikal Taveras
Mikael is currently a senior at Seton Hall Prep where he maintains a GPA of 4.4 and participates in numerous school activities. He continues to be involved in Future Business Leaders of America, the West Indian organization and has been elected team manager of the rifle team. Mikael works many volunteer hours at St. Johns Soup Kitchen, Newark, NJ.

Marina Bear

The Harding School Award – Marina Bear
Marina is active in school athletics, having played on the soccer, basketball, lacrosse and track teams. She was County Champion in both the shot put and the 200 meter race. She also brokeschool records in the 100 meter race, the long jump, and the 100 meter hurdles. In the class-room, Marina approached her academic pursuits with the same tenacity and enthusiasm that con-tributed to her success on the playing field. Marina plays the viola in the school band, and in her free time pursues the piano. Outside of school, Marina is actively involved in service to her com-munity. Most recently, she worked with preschool and elementary hearing-impaired students.

MCS Foundation Scholarship Wesley

Wesley College Student Leadership Program
Wesley College, Dover, DE, is a small, liberal arts college ethnically diverse and comprised of more than 40 percent first generation students. The Foundation has established the Matthew C. Sellitto Endowed Fund to provide a four year scholarship to deserving students from an urban environment, who are the first generation to attend college, and who are from an under represented population.
